Nominees Sought for Committee Service

Nominations are due by February 5, 2024 (Midnight, Eastern Time).

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced group of members familiar with the Society to join the Nominating Committee. The committee plays a crucial role in selecting the future leaders for the Society. Please review the desired competencies below and nominate a colleague or yourself if you are interested and willing to serve in this role.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

• Organizational Knowledge and Stewardship: Understands and embodies the association’s core values, mission and strategic priorities.
• Strategic Thinking and Leadership: Demonstrates leadership attributes that allow them to positively influence the decision-making process by effectively aligning tasks, priorities, and resources in a thoughtful and strategic way.
• Communication: Demonstrates skills and leadership in communicating efficiently, respectfully, and transparently.
• Collaboration: Appreciates the unique views and opinions of others when building consensus. 

Time Commitment and Eligibility

The term of service on the Nominating Committee (NC) is three years. Committee members may serve for only one term. The NC typically meets once a year in person at ENDO and holds multiple calls throughout the year. Current Board and Nominating Committee members are ineligible to be nominated for these open positions. 

Important: Nominating Committee members are ineligible to serve on the Board of Directors for two years after their term concludes. Retiring Board members are not eligible to serve on the Nominating Committee for one year after their term concludes. 

How to Submit Nominations

Please use this submission form to nominate yourself or a colleague; multiple nominations are accepted. If you need to find a member, please use the member directory. 

Information for Nominees

If you are interested in being considered for a Nominating Committee (NC) position, please follow these steps:

• Make sure your name has been submitted (by yourself or a colleague) via the submission form. 
• Nominees will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to accept the nomination. For nominees who want to accept the nomination directly, please follow the steps below:
  • Go to your member profile/account page (via ES website) and click on the ‘committees’ link on the right side of the page.
  • In the ‘Nominating Committee Nominations’ section, click on the ‘Indicate willingness to serve’ box.
  • On the next page, select ‘yes’ on the ‘Willingness to be considered question’ and write a personal statement describing why you are qualified to serve on the Nominating Committee and how you embody the desired competencies (in 300 words or less).
  • To submit, click ‘save’ at the bottom right side of the page.
