Mark E. Molitch, MD is Professor Emeritus in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Molecular Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. His research has focused on the pathogenesis and treatment of pituitary tumors and the effects of such tumors on pregnancy. He has participated in the development of most of the medical treatments for prolactinomas and acromegaly and has been a member of the committees that wrote the Guidelines for the evaluation and treatment of Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency, of Pituitary Incidentalomas and of Acromegaly of The Endocrine Society and of Prolactinomas of The Pituitary Society. Dr. Molitch has authored more than 500 original papers, review articles, book chapters, case reports and other publications. He was an Endocrine Society Council Member 2008 – 2010, President of The Pituitary Society 2012-2013 and was the 2013 recipient of the Distinguished Educator Award of The Endocrine Society.
