Kate Fryer serves as the Endocrine Society’s Chief Executive Officer. In this role, she partners with the Board of Directors and other member leaders to develop strategies to achieve the organization's mission, and works with staff team members to ensure all strategies and programs are successfully implemented.
She brings to the Endocrine Society her passion for advancing and funding foundational research, as well as the basic-to-translational-to-clinical continuum that this organization so holistically embodies.
Fryer comes to the Society from the American Chemical Society (ACS), where she served as Executive Vice President of Membership & Society Services. Her focus was on modernizing ACS’s membership model and expanding and virtualizing its meetings and exposition portfolio. Prior to her position at ACS, Fryer was Deputy Executive Director at the Society for Neuroscience, where she led the launch of the organization’s open-access journal, as well as its online learning platform. She also has held positions at the American Association of Physics Teachers, Aspen Publishers (a division of Wolters Kluwer), and the American Physiological Society. Fryer is a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
