Our Goal: To increase awareness of the impact of climate change on endocrine health.
As more science emerges about the impact of climate change on health, many endocrinologists have concerns about its effects on endocrine health. The Endocrine Society works to educate the public about the health effects of global warming, supports increased research on the impact of climate change on the endocrine system, and advocates for policies that will protect human health from the climate crisis.
We have also joined the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health, which includes 38 medical groups representing about 70% of U.S. physicians, to provide education and advocate for policies to combat global warming.
